Hello Parents/Guardians of GAC Winter Sports Participants,
In an effort to help ensure the safety of the student-participants, coaches, officials, administrators, events staff and fans in attendance, the Gateway Athletic Conference (GAC) Athletic Administrators have implemented the following spectator guidelines for the upcoming Winter Season for attendance at Basketball & Wrestling events.
- Masks will be required to enter the building and must we worn at all times.
- All attendees (participants & spectators) will be required to complete the following screening before arriving at each event:
- Do you currently have any of the following symptoms, if so, please do not attend:
- Fever or feeling feverish
- Chills
- A new cough
- Shortness of breath
- A new sore throat
- New muscle aches
- New headache
- New loss of smell or taste
- No cheerleaders will be admitted for “Away” games or matches
- No visitor “Student Sections” will be permitted for “Away” games or matches
- Spectator restrictions will be as follows:
- Away events: Each participant will receive two (2) laminated passes to give to a “Guest 1” & “Guest 2”. These passes MUST be presented at the admission table before you are allowed to enter. You will then pay the admission fee established by the host school.
- Home events: Each school will develop their own local restrictions based on their respective county health department and school district guidelines. Some schools will allow pep bands, student sections & multiple guests to attend, based on their venue size.
